Back In Black

Well, after quite sometime ... I've decided to post again (been through final exams for about 2 weeks, and then I was just lazy to start this over again) ... But here I am ... I'll add some of the songs that have been played more in my iPod during this last weeks ... It's been almost year (as of now ... 367 days) since one of my most memorable nights in my life ... But that'll be subject of another post sometime soon (I hope) ...

Realistic People With Love

Actually scratch that name, the band's name is RPWL, in honor to each one of the memebers of this progressive rock band. I've had this band since ... midyear ... I think ... (in one of my massive musical acquirements) and well they've managed to give me some good surprises with their 5 studio albums released (I'm missing the live one still)...

Weirdly, the song that I like the most from this band is the one that has a guest vocalist, which coincidentally, is the man behind my favorite album from Genesis: Ray Wilson (the album I meant was 'Calling All Stations', if you didn't know).

This track is pretty much nostalgic in my opinion, but there's a certain mystique to it ... I can't say what ... that it actually made me repeat it once and again for a whole day ... But really, really good (yeah, that was pretty much obvious)...

Note 1: Too bad Ray Wilson performs good with other bands other than his own (Stiltskin's 'Inside' was good, but not that good as either his work in Genesis or his collaboration here)

Note 2: Before I forget the song of the name: Roses

RPWL & Ray Wilson - Roses

(Album: World Through My Eyes)

If the world is one big plan
Why must we lose our innocence
Why have we lost our paradise?
Paralysed. nothing to give

The chestnut vender in the rain
Haven't seen him since I moved away
Please tell me what I'm doing here
These strangers do not speak to me

All the things I tried to do
I never thought it was too late
So in this silence say a prayer
For the one who went away

Roses, are covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for you
But all that's left are
Roses, covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for you
But you cannot hear me

The rising spirit of the new
I can look through the windows of their minds
Why should we care about the means
Our last goal is to reach the end

All the things I tried to do
I never thought it was too late
So in this silence say a prayer
For the one who went away

Roses, are covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for
You but all that's left are
Roses, covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for you
But you cannot hear me

You said don't tell me we can take our time
So I hope that we will meet again
Sheltered in your faith you made me understand
But now what's left is hidden under ...

Roses, are covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for
You but all that's left are
Roses, covering your face
And with my mind I'm calling out for you
But you cannot hear me

Do you know Mr. O'Riley?

It's pretty much impossible to go around being a rock fan and never heard of The Who ... Well, I did until a few years ago ... And although I'm not a complete fan of their discography, I must admit I have a good bunch of songs I like (blame it on every intro song from CSI, CSI: Miami, and CSI: Las Vegas, apparently Jerry Bruckheimer was a fan ...)... Well, the following song comes from this guys, it's pretty much awesome in everyway... I guess this song has been on many sitcoms and movies, and such, but I've only seen it on House (somewhere in it's second season i think) ... And it's probably The Who's most infamous song ... I don't know the numbers exactly but a good percentage of the people know this song by the 'adopted name' of 'Teenage Wasteland' (well it is pretty much clear in the chorus, but still, it ain't the name of the song ...)

The Who - Baba o'Riley

(Album: Who's Next)

Out here in the fields
I FARM for my meals
I get my back into my living.
I don't need to fight
To prove I'm right
I don't need to be forgiven.
yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah,yeah

Don't cry
Don't raise your eye
It's only teenage wasteland

Sally, take my hand
We'll travel south cross land
Put out the fire
And don't look past my shoulder.
The exodus is here
The happy ones are near
Let's get together
Before we get much older.

Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland.
Teenage wasteland
Oh, yeah
Teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!
